The 1996 Masters Tournament brought one of the biggest meltdowns in major golf history as Greg Norman - always the bridesmaid at the Masters - lost a six shot lead to eventual winner Nick Faldo. Norman returned to the 2009 Masters after a strong finish at last year's British Open. Unfortunately, he didn't make the cut, missing by two strokes with a 3 over par.
His return is a reminder of his '96 tournament appearance, which also resulted in a really funny line by former ESPN sports anchor Dan Patrick.
With a six shot lead going into the final round on Sunday, Norman - also known as "The Shark" - was surely going to get the Masters green jacket that had eluded him after several second place finishes.
The front page headline on The Augusta Chronicle stated his chances succintly: "Shark Smells Blood."
On the Sunday night ESPN Sportscenter recapping the tournament, Dan Patrick, on site in Augusta, held up a copy of Sunday's front page.
"Shark smells blood?" Patrick asked.
After a slight pause, Patrick said: "Yes, the Shark smelled blood ... his own."
